About Our Owner
Meet Ron Lachman, Owner & Founder of Galron Sliding Doors.
Ron’s quality of work and business relationships are influenced by his commanding military background and his conviction to serve his technicians and customers like they are family. His work ethic stems from the principle that the military taught him, “sleep less, work more.” It is that work ethic that has caused him to visit every single project over the last seven years, to make sure that every project was done the right way and that the client is happy and satisfied.
Galron Sliding Doors holds a few awards in the service industry, from counties and villages around the Chicagoland area. Using mastery knowledge of sliding door repairs, and the courage to learn about the older doors Ron has been tapped to instruct classes for new window & door experts around the Chicagoland. While joining one of the classes, we enjoyed watching Ron helping one of the largest city inspectors using his honest advice on how to solve a big water leak situation coming from a sliding door.
Galron Sliding Doors carries over 700 different parts in stock including rollers, tracks locks and so on.
Ron says that by carrying parts from the 60s until the present, he can help those clients who cant afford a new door, but want to have their doors operate as brand new.
Armed with a wide knowledge about sliding door parts, and the typical issues Ron developed the “Don’t replace it repair it” system. When asked what’s so special about it, he says:
“most of our clients think they need to replace their patio doors, often because other companies mislead them, and sometimes because they just don’t know that there is a solution available to salvage their current door and allow it to thrive again!”
