Frantonio’s Italian Deli & Cafe

We would like to invite you to sample our innovative menu of authentic and expertly prepared Italian cuisine.
Franco Bruno, the owner, learned to cook in Calabria, Italy. Franco specialized in home-cooked Italian fare such as Italian sausage, fresh mozzarella, and a variety of sauces (marinara, pesto, country-style, meat, and vodka). Desserts like tiramisu and cannolis are also popular.
Dine-in (outdoor in the summer), take-out, delivery for lunch and dinner, catering, and cooking classes are all available. We are confident that your visit to Frantonio’s will be memorable and enjoyable.
Franco and Patti Bruno founded Frantonios in 1993. Franco grew up in Calabria, Italy, and began cooking at a young age. Franco moved to New York and Chicago when he was 15 years old. He learned to make Fresh Mozzarella, Sausage, and a variety of other Italian delicacies over the years. Frank used to own a deli in Bloomingdale, Illinois, before moving on to Frantonios.
Patti Bruno grew up in Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from ISU in 1987. She was a family therapist as well as a substitute teacher. She employs skills she has learned to work “behind the scenes” at Frantonios. Patti is in charge of the café’s ambiance as well as assisting customers with Catering and Cooking Class operations. The Brunos have two grown children and live near Lake Zurich.

Clean, safe, fun and affordable. There were some nice backdrops to take fall pictures. Try their signature drink hot chocolate with apple cider and donut. Highly recommended!

Looooved this place! Super friendly and genuinely the best deli sandwich I’ve had. The bread is so incredibly good very fluffy but crunchy. Great meats and cheeses! A nice variety of soups, cheeses and bread. We love to see such a great family business! ❤️

Food was pretty good but exceptionally overpriced ate here four years ago and couldn’t remember why I haven’t been back till I recently stopped in and got a sandwich and quickly remembered when a 7″ meatball sub was nearly $15 out the door alone. Good service and friendly staff however.
