Dr. Barbara Stapleton purchased Barrington Animal Hospital in 1991 after it was founded in the early 1900s. The walls of our clinic, which was remodeled under Dr. Stapleton’s supervision in 2005, are covered with photographs depicting our history and many of the pets we have loved. Barrington Animal Hospital has maintained a family atmosphere over the years, where we truly know and appreciate you, your pets, and your family.
The doctors, staff, you, and your pets are all part of the family. And part of being family is ensuring that your pet receives the best medical care available. Routine wellness care, which includes a thorough “nose-to-tail” examination, vaccinations, and preventive treatments, is the foundation of excellent pet health. Detecting problems before they become serious is critical to your pet’s long-term health and to keeping the lifetime cost of caring for your pet as low as possible.

Our dedication to you and your pet does not end in the examination room. We make every effort to assist clients and their pets as they enter and exit our hospital. We assist you to your car when you buy food, are unable to carry your belongings, or require assistance with your pet. We also have a section of our waiting room set aside for clients who prefer to stay and wait while their pet is undergoing surgery.
